Day 61...wow!

So, the church in Ephesus is apparently REALLY messed up. I felt like the whole time I was reading this section that Paul is like just pointing out everything that the C of E was doing wrong and then telling Timmy how to make it right.  Which, I guess is a good thing...because Paul was like--super in-tune with God and, I guess I really respect him for being bold enough to call C of E out. Because I know that it's definitely a lot easier to sit back and do nothing--even when you know that someone is doing something wrong, than it is to confront them.

Also, I really appreciate how encouraging Paul is to Tim.  Sometimes its really hard when you're trying so hard to do something, and you just feel like you're not succeeding; but then someone else comes along and tells you, "fight the good fight" and "take hold of the eternal life to which you were called". I think that these things Paul is saying to him are really powerful things. And while I was reading this section I was thinking about how a lot of times we don't take care of widows, and we have ungodly women, and separation between believers, and there are a lot of people out there teaching the wrong stuff. But God knew that these things would happen back in the day, and in the now, and Paul's powerful words were probably really encouraging and helpful to Timothy, and I think that they're really encouraging to us today.

So, yeah. I didn't talk about the role of women....can we say controversial? I'm sure Megan would have if she had the blog this day.....

So this is my very first blog(unless you include all those "posts" written on Myspace before I realized how weird that was). Ya know, blogging is kinda cool. Like, you can just write what you want to on the internet, and then random people, or hopefully all your friends will read it. I don't really have very much to say right now, except I just saw an amazing commercial on TV that went a little something like this:

"You don't have to be a MAN to love Manwich, you don't have to be a WITCH either"
